LODGING
All overnight packages are based on double occupancy per room. Guests requesting single occupancy room will be charged an additional fee per night.

RESERVATIONS / CONFIRMATIONS / DEPOSITS / PAYMENTS
Reservations should be made well in advance. Dates requested will not be guaranteed if signed confirmation with 50% deposit is not received within time specified on confirmation. Balance of charges must be paid at the end of trip.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check in time is 4:00 p.m. Check out time is noon. Cocktail hour begins at 6:00 p.m. with dinner served at 7:00 p.m.

NO-SHOW POLICY
No-shows will be charged the full amount. Parties arriving with fewer guests than reserved will be charged the full amount. No discounts.

MINIMUM AGE
Our waterfowl hunting guests must be at least 14 years of age.

LICENSES
Licenses are NOT available for purchase at the lodge. Guests must purchase their hunting and fishing licenses in advance of arrival. Information regarding license purchases can be found online or via toll free number directly from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. See this address for details:

FEDERAL DUCK STAMPS
Federal duck stamps are available for purchase at Grosse Savanne. This cost is NOT included in package rates.

SHELLS
Shells are available for purchase at Grosse Savanne. This cost is NOT included in package rates.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE
We provide complimentary transportation service to and from Lake Charles Regional Airport. Please let us know in advance your flight schedule to ensure we have someone there to meet you.

WHAT TO BRING?
As Louisiana weather tends to be unpredictable, we suggest layered clothing to accommodate both cold and warmer weather, or both as the case may be on many days. For our hunters, we suggest you bring knee boots if possible. We have a limited supply of hip boots and/or waders for our guests’ use.

PERSONAL GUIDE DOGS
Guests are free to bring along their guide dog for the hunting experience. No dogs are allowed inside the lodge building. Guests must provide their own outside portable kennel/carrier to house their dog during their stay. Please let us know ahead of time if you are bringing your dog along with you.

LIMITS
Our hunting guests are NOT allowed to shoot guides’ limits. We abide by all Federal and State regulations.

ADDITIONAL GUESTS
There is an additional cost for meals/beverages for non-lodging guests.

GRATUITIES
Gratuities for staff members are optional and at the discretion of our customers. We ask that you submit gratuities to management to dispense to our staff members in accordance with your wishes.

BEVERAGE REQUESTS
We stock a variety of liquors, including beer and wine, which are complimentary and included in overnight packages. Special bar requests will be provided if possible and subject to additional cost to customer.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY/NEEDS
Emergency care phone numbers are posted in various locations in the lodge and our guides carry a card with these phone numbers also. We have personnel who are CPR and First-Aid certified and trained in the use of a defibrillator, which we have on hand at the lodge. Please let us know prior to your arrival if you have any special medical needs and/or dietary requirements.

PRO SHOP ITEMS
Pro Shop items must be included on final invoice or paid separately in advance of your departure. If you would like us to order an item not in stock, we will do our best to accommodate your request and ship to you. Additional shipping charges to apply. Items ordered must also be included on final invoice or paid in advance.

SHIPPING OF GAME
Guests who wish to take home their game are encouraged to bring a cooler. We have a limited supply of soft coolers for purchase at the lodge.

As a convenience to our traveling customers, we will ship your game to you if requested. This cost is NOT included in your package rates. Your game will be frozen solid, packed and shipped FedEx overnight for guaranteed delivery by 10:30 a.m. next day. You will be contacted prior to shipping to verify ship-to address to ensure someone will be there to accept the package and tend to its refrigeration needs.

If you have a FedEx account, we will be happy to bill the charges directly to your account. Otherwise, we will require reimbursement of the FedEx charges, which we will have available after the package is tendered, weighed and measured.

LOST & FOUND/ITEMS LEFT BEHIND
Should you depart our facility and find you have left something behind, we will, if possible, return the item to you via the shipping method you specify. We will require a credit card number prior to returning the item(s) to you to which to charge the shipping costs.
