One of the six charter members of the Audubon Golf Trail, Gray Plantation is an 18-hole, 7,000-yard course designed to challenge the pro and amateur alike. Designed by veteran course architect Rocky Roquemore, the course takes full advantage of the area's natural surroundings with 60 acres of lakes coming into play on 12 holes, 94 bunkers and moss-draped pines at nearly every turn. Particularly impressive are the club's four dynamic par 3s, two of which feature island greens.

The course was ranked #3 by in Golf Digest's list of America's Best New Courses in 2000. Impressed by the untouched beauty of the area and the raised plantation house surrounded by scenic marshland, the Golf Digest writer commented, "It might as well be 1900."
